Things are slowly starting to open back up around Arizona, and Halloween corn mazes are no exception.

Whether you like a leisurely stroll through a family-friendly maze with the kiddos or prefer to scream your way through a seriously spooky maze complete with creepy clowns and ghastly ghouls, you’ve got choices.

Farms throughout the state have converted portions of their land to that time-honored fall tradition of letting folks tromp through their unharvested crops. Some just offer the maze, while others have added attractions such as hayrides, pumpkin picking and, yes, zombies.

Prior to heading out to any of these locations, check their website to learn about any COVID-19 measures such as mask wearing, social distancing, timed entries and more.

Here corn mazes in metro Phoenix and around Arizona.

Apple Annie’s Corn-tastic Corn Maze

You can also pick up a pumpkin while you’re there. Bring water, especially on hot days.

Details: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily through Saturday, Oct. 31. 6405 W. Williams Road, Willcox. $8-$10 for hayride and maze; $6-$8 for maze only; free for age 2 and younger. 520-384-4685, www.appleannies.com.

AZ Field of Screams

This is no relaxing hayride. The story goes that this maze was planted on a forgotten cemetery, and the inhabitants aren’t exactly happy about you visiting their turf. If you’re looking for a less scary, more family-friendly option, check out Tolmachoff Farms at the same location.
