Before the season there was some talk about the NFC West potentially being the toughest division in the NFL in 2020.
Through the first two weeks of the season, there is no question about it.
The four teams in the division, the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams are a combined 7-1 after two weeks.
The Cardinals, Rams and Seahawks are each 2-0 and tied for first place in the division.
The 49ers, the defending NFC West champions, are 1-1 with their loss coming against the Cardinals in Week 1.

The NFC West is home to three of the six unbeaten teams in the NFC with the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears in the NFC North both 2-0 and the New Orleans Saints of the NFC South 1-0 entering their game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night.
The 7-1 combined record for NFC West teams is easily the best in the NFL after Sunday’s games.
AFC West teams are a combined 4-3 entering the Raiders’ game on Monday night.
AFC North teams are 5-3 thanks to the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers each being off to a 2-0 start.
There are 12 unbeaten teams in the NFL entering Monday night’s game with the AFC also having six, like the NFC.
So, the NFC West has a quarter of the unbeaten teams remaining in the NFL and that number will change Monday night with the unbeaten Raiders and Saints facing off.
Not too shabby of a start for the division, which is looking like it will be the division of death in 2020.

The Cardinals have the Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers and New York Jets up next, three teams that are currently a combined 0-6 on the year.
The 49ers have the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins, who are also a combined 0-6.
The Seahawks have the Dallas Cowboys, Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings, who are a combined 1-5.
The Rams face the unbeaten Buffalo Bills in Week 3, then take on the New York Giants (0-2) and Washington (1-1) in two very winnable games.
Can the division keep up the great play?

The NFL expanded the playoffs this season, with seven teams from each conference making the postseason, the four division winners and the three non-division winners with the best records.
That makes it possible, although unlikely, that all four NFC West teams could potentially earn a playoff berth in 2020.
Wouldn’t that be something?
