A person was shot near 40th Street and Indian School Road on Thursday night, the Phoenix Police Department said.

Officers responding to reports of a gunshot wound in the 4100 block of East Indian School Road just before 9:30 p.m. found the victim, Sgt. Vince Lewis said. 

Further details, including information about the victim’s condition, were not immediately available.
