A 22-year-old man was killed in a two-car crash near Avondale on Monday, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said.

The accident occurred before 6 p.m. at 113th Avenue and Indian School Road, the Sheriff’s Office said.

One vehicle apparently struck the passenger side of another vehicle.

A passenger in the vehicle that was struck suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died, officials said.
