Actress and producer Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been seen having a blast cheering on Northwestern basketball while her son Charlie Hall is on the team. Toward the end of the Wildcats’ win over Rutgers on Thursday, ESPN2 focused a camera right on Louis-Dreyfus as Hall entered the game.

Hall wound up grabbing a rebound (he finished with two boards), so viewers got to see Louis-Dreyfus happily cheering.

It’s pretty hilarious and kind of amazing that they split the screen for Louis-Dreyfus’ reactions. I guess you can’t go wrong with a Julia cam?

She’s a huge fan, if you can’t tell. She even talked to the Chicago Tribune‘s Teddy Greenstein last month for a feature story about her son.

“We’re his parents, so you might be talking to the best people or the worst people (to give an assessment),” Louis-Dreyfus said. “We think he is outstanding in every regard. We’re his biggest fans.”

The Northwestern alumni are also fans of the team in general, flying in from California or New York whenever possible.

“We do not miss a game – either physically or on TV – and we have BTN2GO on our phones,” Louis-Dreyfus said. “It’s just a matter of our production schedule. If we can be there, we are.”

Next, Northwestern will take on Maryland on Friday.
