4 vehicle collision in Chandler leaves woman in critical condition

A four-vehicle collision near Ray Road and Rural Road on Sunday left one woman in critical condition and another with minor injuries, Chandler police said. 

The collision happened around 1:30 p.m. Chandler police is still investigating and says more information will be released later. 

The four-vehicle collision resulted in three patients. A woman in her late 60s is in critical condition and is considered a trauma patient, according to the Chandler Fire Department. Another woman in her early 20s has minor injuries, per the department. The third patient refused further treatment.

Traffic is blocked northbound on Rural Road and eastbound on Ray Road.

Traffic will be blocked for an extended period of time, Chandler police tweeted. 

Avoid the area if possible.
