A three-vehicle crash in Phoenix early Sunday left four people injured, police said.
The crash occurred about 12:30 a.m. near 35th and Northern avenues when a car traveling west on Northern Avenue crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and hit an SUV, said Phoenix Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Maggie Cox.
The car then continued traveling west before hitting a second SUV in the area, Cox said.
The 25-year-old driver of the car was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Cox. It was unknown if impairment was a factor, she said.
A 31-year-old man and 28-year-old woman from the second SUV were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, Cox said.
The driver of the first SUV had minor injuries, said Cox.
An investigation into the crash was ongoing. Police did not identify any of the people involved.
