Two checkpoints were closed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport as a precaution early Monday while Phoenix Police Department personnel investigated a suspicious object, according to authorities.
Checkpoints A and D in Terminal 4 were shut down shortly after 6 a.m. Monday while Phoenix police investigated the unknown object, according to Heather Lissner, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport spokeswoman.
Both checkpoints reopened shortly before 8 a.m.
“Police have resolved the situation and operations have returned to normal,” Lissner said.
The closures did not impact flight operations, Lissner said.
