One person was taken to a hospital in critical condition Friday night after a shooting near Southern Avenue and Seventh Street, Phoenix police said.

Few details were immediately available Friday night.

Information on any suspects was not immediately available, said Detective Luis Samudio, Phoenix Police Department spokesman.

The investigation is ongoing.
