One person was killed in a crash involving five vehicles in Phoenix on Friday evening, police said.

The crash occurred at 24th Street and Southern Avenue, Phoenix police said.

Police confirmed that one adult was killed and two other people were injured, but no further details were immediately available. Police were expected to provide updated information later this evening.

Officials did confirm that five vehicles were involved, including three pickup trucks.

Police said the intersection would be shut down into the evening while the investigation continues.
