An investigation is underway after a 17-year-old shot a man at Skyline Park in Mesa on Tuesday night, police said.
According to Mesa police, 27-year-old Christopher Clark was found with multiple gunshot wounds after a confrontation between Clark and a group of teenagers. Clark was taken to Banner Desert Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Police said a group of teenagers was gathered at the park when an argument between Clark and the group ensued. A 17-year-old boy shot Clark multiple times after Clark pointed a gun at a 16-year-old boy within the group, said Detective Jason Flam of the Mesa Police Department.
The teenagers fled the scene, and the mother of the 17-year-old boy contacted the Mesa Police Department to report the shooting, Flam said.
Police said all guns have been located and no charges have been filed.
